Meet The Team
Abigail Terzo has been with Peak American since August 2013. Prior to joining the Peak family, she worked for MassMutual in Jackson, Mississippi for three years as their New Business Coordinator. She obtained her Life & Health Insurance License in March of 2017.
Her favorite aspect of Peak American is the positive atmosphere and close-knit culture our CEO has cultivated over the years. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking with her fiancé and crocheting baby blankets.
Daria Mercer has been with Peak American since January 2020. Daria has 25 years of experience in Operations and Processing. Daria was born in Slovakia, lived in England for five years, and moved to the United States in 2004.
Her favorite aspects about Peak American are the knowledge, loyalty and decency of all the employees. Daria is a proud mom of toddler twin girls and a little Lhasa Apso pooch. In her spare time, Daria enjoys watching movies, cooking, and spending time with family and close friends.
Jennifer has been with Peak American since June 2020. She received her Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston, with an emphasis on Sales and Events. Prior to Peak, she worked for several upscale hotel brands before the COVID-19 pandemic. She was born and raised in Texas.
In her free time, she volunteers in the student ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church and is the President of the Board for the Dallas Alumni Chapter for the University of Houston. Jennifer also enjoys assisting her friends in wedding planning. She calls herself a proud dog mom to a terrier rescue named Ivy.
Kristin has been with Peak since May of 2019. She has worked in finance and sales roles for over 14 years, including stints with Sam’s Club and Wells Fargo. She also maintains an insurance license in all 50 states.
Her favorite aspect of Peak American is the committed ethical responsibility to treat all stakeholders with compassion and care. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors with her two dogs and traveling with her husband of 14 years.
Marlene has been with Peak American since 2015. She was born and raised in Texas.
Her favorite aspect of being with Peak is that work never feels like “work” because she enjoys the people and culture of the company. She is married to her high school sweetheart and has three children. Marlene enjoys traveling and playing board games with her family in her free time.
Pamela has been with Peak American since May 2004. She specializes in Client Services and Suitability. She holds her life insurance license and Series 7, 24, 52, 63, and 65 licenses. Prior to working with Peak American, she served on the Sachse City Council, Allen Planning & Zoning Commission, Allen ISD Board of Trustees, Collin County Historical Commission and McKinney Planning & Zoning Commission. As a native Texan, Pamela attended Richland College in Dallas, Texas and Collin College in Plano, Texas.
Her favorite aspect of Peak American is the ethical corporate culture and determined focus to secure clients’ retirement needs. In her free time, Pamela enjoys the company of her family and friends, evangelism, gardening, and exploring her current home of Colorado. She has two daughters and one grandson.
Parker has been with Peak American since June 2020. He graduated from Southern Methodist University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Public Policy. He was born in Texas and raised in the San Francisco Bay area.
In his free time, Parker enjoys backpacking with his friends, watching films, and reading true crime novels. He also maintains a blacksmithing hobby that began during his days in high school. Lastly, he spends two weeks every summer volunteering with the local Native American community in Taos, New Mexico.
Sharon Merwin has been with Peak American since February 2012. She attended Central Missouri State University and previously worked for 25 years in the automotive sector before coming to Peak American.
Her favorite aspects of Peak American are the close and loyal culture among employees and the continuous positive interactions with clients. She is married and has five children. In her free time, Sharon also enjoys painting, spending time with family and neighbors, being involved with her local church community, and volunteering with the Ladies Oriental Shrine Organization.
Taylor has been with Peak American since February 2019. She is near completion of her Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Dallas Baptist University.
Taylor’s favorite aspect of Peak American is the amount of knowledge employees are able to absorb and the rewarding work the company performs for their clients. She enjoys the creative arts, drawing, painting, and relaxing with her Mom and two siblings in her free time.
Tiffany has been with Peak American since February 2020. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Strayer University in Virginia.
Her favorite aspect of Peak American is that the company helps clients become prepared for retirement and enjoy peace of mind. Tiffany has been married to her husband for 15 years and has three children. She enjoys gardening, photography, travel, and spending time with family in her free time.
Trent McIntyre has been with Peak American since September 2019 and graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. He has been exposed to the financial industry for most of his life through his family. Trent was born and raised in Texas.
His favorite aspect about Peak American is his ability to help families leave generational legacies, remove the stress from retirement finances, and greatly reduce the cost of asset transfer. Trent enjoys photography, driving his new car, and spending time with his family during his free time.
Tyler Strother has been with Peak American since May 2020. He graduated from Bentley University in Boston, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance and a Minor in Marketing. He also studied abroad at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy during his junior year. Tyler was born and raised in Texas.
His favorite aspects about Peak American are the culture of loyalty to clients and employees, as well as the healthy drive to bring out the best in everyone. Tyler loves traveling, attending concerts, and working out. He has traveled to 32 countries in his life, with the majority of those being in Europe, and is conversationally proficient in Italian and Spanish.
Yin has been with Peak American since June 2019. She graduated with a Master of Science in Accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas and holds her Certified Public Accountant license.
Her favorite aspect of Peak American is how upper management cares about their employees. She is married with one child and enjoys traveling, reading, and exercising during her free time.
